Specializing in creating unique and visually stunning Nerikomi designs. My passion for ceramics has led me to create artworks that are functional yet still beautiful. All my designs are influenced by my passion for exploring different forms, colours, and textures found in nature and the coastal environment around me. I believe that every piece has its own unique aesthetic, and that the process of creating these pieces is as important as the final product.

"Unique Nerikomi Designs by Penny Clifford Ceramics"
Penny's latest influences come from the strata and veins of the granite outcrops and rocky formations of her beloved Cornish coastal regions. Her use of pure Porcelain has been instrumental in producing some new unique designs. She uses various coloured clays and slips, which she mixes herself and uses with a new black porcelain and her original white porcelain. These are then inlaid, using the ancient Japanese art of Nerikomi, into the part thrown piece. Finally, a very thin application of 9ct. gold luster is applied and given a third and final firing. Making each piece unique in style and design.
